About Us

Seven Summits Centre for Learning, administered by the Visions for Small Schools Society (VSS), opened in Fall 2013, creating a new option for education for grade 8–12 learners from Rossland and beyond. Starting Fall 2016, we have a new educational partner — SD71’s Navigate program. We also partner with Red Mountain Academy and the Black Jack Ski Team for athletes in these sport-intensive and/or international programs.

Seven Summits, in partnership with Navigate offers a learner-centered, inquiry-based learning approach, including the entire B.C. grade 8-12 high school graduation program, as well as a diverse suite of dynamic independent study choices and community initiatives. VSS provides a physical space for mentors and learners in the form of the Seven Summits Centre for Learning.

With Rossland’s rich community of skills and interests, learners at the Seven Summits have access to a great variety of programs, activities and community assets.

Our Mission

Seven Summits Centre for Learning is a not-for-profit educational centre that provides a highly supportive environment, which welcomes diversity in learning style and cultural background.

We guide and nurture learners to discover their passions as academically minded, self-expressive and socially conscious individuals who are inspired to be active for life.
