Seven Summits Centre for Learning, administered by the Visions for Small Schools Society (VSS), opened in Fall 2013, creating a new innovative option for education for grade 8–12 students from Rossland and beyond. Starting Fall 2016, we created a new partnership with SD71’s Navigate program. We also partner with Red Mountain Academy and the Black Jack Ski Team and most recently, Kootenay Danceworks for athletes in sport-intensive and/or international programs. With Rossland’s rich community of skills and interests, students at Seven Summits have access to a great variety of programs, activities and local assets.

Seven Summits provides the coordination and a physical space for the unique combination of these partnerships to offer a learner-centered, blended learning approach to a B.C. education and the pursuit of a student’s passion.

Our Mission

Seven Summits Centre for Learning is a not-for-profit educational centre that provides a highly supportive environment, which welcomes diversity in learning style and cultural background.

We guide and nurture learners to discover their passions as academically minded, self-expressive and socially conscious individuals who are inspired to be active for life.
