Hotdogging at the Ski Swap

Seven Summits Centre for Learning students and parents put on an amazing feast last Saturday for the annual Red Mountain Racers Ski Swap at J.L. Crowe Secondary School in Trail. Learner Creigh Dillon (pictured above) manned the barbecue like a champ, racking up several community volunteer hours. Learner Scarlet Guy worked tirelessly behind the scenes heating the gourmet hot dog toppings. Parent volunteers Lori Dillon and Jon Marion (pictured below) did an amazing job serving pulled pork and hot dogs to hungry Kootenay ski swappers. They even managed to invent a new food: a hot dog with pulled pork dressing. I think we’ll call it the 7S Hot Dork!

Kraft Dinner Dawg

Jimmy’s gourmet ‘Kraft Dinner Dawgs’ (pictured) were not a great success, but the ‘7S Hot Dorks’ sold like hot cakes!

Thanks to all the other people who helped last weekend, including Lachlan Stewart, Sophie Wardy, Autumn Terwoort, Hugo Dalmalm, Clemens Unterguggenberger, Christine Andison and the Red Mountain Racers, Don Stevens, me (Jimmy Guy), and the effervescent Sue McBride.
