Nordic skiing

at a competitive level

Rossland’s Black Jack Ski Club ranks amongst the premier cross-country ski facilities in western Canada for a couple good reasons. Its variety of trails, excellent grooming, abundant and reliable snowfall, and proximity to Rossland make it an ideal location for cross country. Black Jack not only hosts thousands of day-skier visits per year but also puts on high-profile races, from NorAm Canada Cups to the Canadian Masters Championship.

The Skier Development Program (SDP) is a key component of the club. SDP begins with at a young age with the Bunnies & Jack Rabbits, where young skiers are introduced to a lifelong sport, and continues into its racing programs. Some of Black Jack’s SDP athletes compete at the provincial, national, and even international level.
